Manali Sanctuary is a home to several numbers of wild life animals, birds and plants; these include common as well as a few rarest species. The forest is engulfed and surrounded by trees like horse chestnut, walnuts, kail, deodars, maple trees giving it a different view altogether. Some of the animals seen here are- the Snow Leopard, Brown Beer, Stripped Hyena, Barking Deer, Indian Hare, Musk Deer, and Himalayan Yellow Throated Marten etc. It also provides shelter to a large number of birds including the migratory guests like the Ibex in the summers.The line of Alpine trees and snow-topped mountain peaks are bound to mesmerize the heart of anyone who is planning to visit this awesome place. It has some of the best Trekking Routes to offer and besides that there are options for camping facilities for a comfortable Nature-viewing experience. How to go there : By Air : Bhuntar which is abour 50 KM from Manali is the nearest airport. You should hire a Cab or board a bus to reach Manali.
By train : Travelling by a train may not seem to be a good idea for those who want to save on time. The nearest train port is Joginder Nagar which is 95 KM from Kullu. You could hire a Cab or a bus from Kullu to Manali and enjoy the scenic beauty en route.
By Road : One can go to Manali through the Kullu valley while enjoying the bountiful beauty of nature. Manali is well connected to a few other major tourist junctions as well via road.
